2000-2003: M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, UCSB 1997: B.S. in Materials Engineering from Brown University. Undergraduate research -- investigation of metal-ceramic nanoscale powder composites.
Work Experience 1997 - 2000: Worked as engineer at Electric Boat Corporation 2000-Present: Graduate Student Researcher UCSB Materials Department Research Research Project: BioMEMS and microfluidics. I am working on the development of microfluidic channels with integrated silicon electrodes. The goal is to study the effect of electric fields on biomolecules and liquid crystals in confined spaces.
