Emily Parker
I am a 4th year Ph.D. student at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the Mechanical and Environmental Engineering Department. I am working with Professor Noel MacDonald in the field of microelectromechanical systems, or MEMS.
Research Interests:

My research focuses on bulk titanium MEMS fabrication for both biological and biomedical applications. This has involved the development of a new micromachining process for the dry etching of bulk titanium and the application of this process to microfluidic networks for biomaterial studies. Currently, I am developing a bulk titanium microsystem for transdermal drug delivery. For more information regarding my research, please visit the following links:
