Dr. Wang is a Senior investigator at The Institute for Collaborative Biotechnologies, University of California, Santa Barbara. He is now working with Prof. Frank Doyle. He received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering & Automation, the B.E. degree in Computer Science & Technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shaanxi, China, in 2004. During 2007-2008, he was with University of Duisburg-Essen Germany, as a visiting student. He received the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees in Control Science & Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2009.

I am looking for an academic position in the field of dynamical systems and control.

Research Interests

  • Systems modeling and analysis of circadian rhythm networks, reverse engineering of synchrony as an algorithmic strategy for wireless communication network control.

  • Fault detection, control and estimation for networked control systems (control systems whose control loops are closed via a serial communication channel) subject to random network-induced delay, packet dropout, limited communication resources, etc.

  • Model based detection and diagnosis of faults in engineering systems: whether they occur in the plant (the technical equipment) or in its measurements and control instruments. Data-driven fault diagnosis: identification of fault detection system parameters from the test data directly.
