Dr. Wang is a project scientist at The Institute for Collaborative Biotechnologies, University of California, Santa Barbara, working with Prof. Frank Doyle. He received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering & Automation, the B.E. degree in Computer Science & Technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shaanxi, China, in 2004. During 2007-2008, he was with University of Duisburg-Essen Germany, as a visiting student. He received the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees in Control Science & Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2009.


I will be taking a professorship position in the ECE department at Clemson University this fall. PhD/Post-Doc positions are available.  
Research Interests

  • Systems and Control: Cooperative control, multi-agent systems.

  • Wireless sensor networks: Clock synchronization and coordination algorithms, mobile networks, bio-inspired algorithms.

  • Systems biology: Biochemical oscillator networks, gene regulatory oscillators, biological rhythms, neuron networks.

  • Complex networks: Analysis and application of pulse-coupled oscillators, Kuramoto oscillators, etc.

  • Cyber-physical systems: Control and estimation of cyber-physical systems, networked control systems, and communication constrained systems.

  • Fault detection and identification: Model-based detection and diagnosis of latent faults in dynamical systems.
