Get hired: Don’t miss SWE’s Evening with Industry
Thursday, Jan. 21st, Earl Warren Showgrounds
Want to work for Microsoft, Amgen, or Raytheon? Here is your chance to make an impression at the 26th annual Evening with Industry (EWI), featuring the only all-engineering and computer science career fair on campus. Hosted by UCSB’s section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), this event will take place next Thursday, Jan. 21st, from 5-9pm, at Earl Warren Showgrounds.
Unlike conventional career fairs, students will not only have a chance to meet prospective employers, but also have dinner with these representatives while listening to a notable keynote speaker from the industry. Kurtis Hollar, electrical and computer engineering graduate student, attended EWI last year and said he always enjoys “attending the Society of Women Engineers' Evening with Industry. It gives you the chance to sit down and really learn about a company's culture and hear what the recruiters have to say without having a line behind you.”
Last year, over 200 students took advantage of this opportunity, mingling with the 18 prospective employers in attendance, and this year should be no exception. To register for this event, please email email@example.com.
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a national non-profit, educational service organization. One of our goals is to inform students and educators of the opportunities open to both men and women in the field of engineering. The society also serves as an information center for women in engineering and encourages them to attain high levels of educational and professional achievement. You can contact the UCSB Section of SWE at firstname.lastname@example.org.
